River Clean Up and Bon Fire
Protect our rivers. Please join us for a river cleanup at HWC. Sometimes trash gets left behind. Flooding can also carry a lot of unwanted items into the rivers and lakes. Much of the trash and other items ends up settling on high areas along the banks and in trees. Please respect private property during the cleanup, however, we may comb along the shores and remove all trash and garbage we find up to the average high water mark. We will conclude the event with a dump run and then BBQ and Bon Fire into the evening at HWC.
Also, you don’t have to wait for a river clean up day to pick up trash along your way. If we all pick up a little trash every time we are on the water, it will keep our rivers clean and healthy for us all to enjoy more. Thanks for being good humans.

Half “Marathon on the Water” Starting line at Siloam Springs WW Park travel through Lake Francis, WOKA and Finish at HWC. Full '“Marathon on the Water” Start at Siloam Springs WW Park and Finish at Chewey Bridge. Shuttle available. 3 classes SUP, Canoe, Kayak
Lightning Bug Party
Light up costumes, disco balls, glow lights, light sabers, and whatever else you can imagine. Lets light up the night.
River Monster Festival
Read the Story of the Illinois River Monster Here. Come Celebrate the 1st Annual River Monster Festival at HWC. Anyone Wearing a River Monster Costume is Half Off Beer from tap. Raffle off for prizes. TBD.
Night Float
Have you ever imagined what a river float at night might be like? To some it might sound a little scary. While there are some additional challenges of floating at night, there is also a huge reward. The sounds of the frogs, crickets, birds, fish, otters and other wildlife that you may have never heard. It is as peaceful as it sounds. Just the sound of the paddle blade moving slowly through the water. The shadows of the trees reflecting off the water from the glow of the moon and stars. The whole situation brings all of your senses to life. Come check it out.
